On the weekend at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Marini had his best weekend with Honda as he claimed two top-five finishes. The Italian finished fourth in the Saturday Sprint Race, before backing it up with a fifth place in the Grand Prix on Sunday.

After the Sprint Race on Saturday, Marini discussed the improvements of the RC213V and revealed that Honda will have more updates between now and the end of the season that he believes will improve the package further.

"We have made a lot of progress since the beginning of the season," Marini told TNT Sports.

"The bike has improved so much, and every time that we make a step, the riders are also able to make a step to find that last two of three tenths.

"It is great to be able to grow up together with this bike. I think we can do much better between now and the end of the season, because we will have some more updates.

"It will be great to see these performances through to the end of the season."
