Tommy Bridewell continues to search for improvements after Cadwell Park victory

Tommy Bridewell was able to claim his first British Superbike victory since the 2024 season finale at Brands Hatch.

The last two British Superbike race weekends at Brands Hatch and Thruxton have been difficult weekends for Tommy Bridewell, as he featured inside the top five once.

After the 2023 British Superbike Champion crashed out of the opening race of the weekend at Cadwell Park, there was a chance Bridewell was in for another difficult weekend.

However, Bridewell changed his fortunes on Monday as he claimed a double podium with a race win in Race Two and a third place in Race Three.

"I think I probably had high expectations for this weekend," Bridewell explained after Race Three at Cadwell Park.

"We started the weekend in a strong way immediately, and I felt good on the bike. We are just sort of struggling to improve, if I am honest. I am happy, credit to the team, they have done a good job, Andy [Irwin] was riding really well as well, so it is good for me, Honda and the whole infrastructure.

"We need to improve. It was nice to get the win. I must be honest, it was nice to get the win earlier. Then to put it on the podium again was good, but we certainly have to improve still.

"Let's see what we can do going into Donington Park. I am under no illusion that it is probably going to be a different story there. We struggled there at the start of the year, and we had a test there recently, and struggled.

"I hope we can turn it around now after this weekend, but we have to keep our feet on the ground and be realistic. But we still have a long way to go before I feel I can consistently fight for race wins again."

After seven rounds of the 2025 British Superbike Championship, Tommy Bridewell has solidified his seventh place in the standings and has closed in on the top five.
