France WorldSBK, Free Practice Two Results | Nicolo Bulega topped the order with a new Lap Record

With a new World Superbike Lap Record around Magny-Cours, Nicolo Bulega topped the timesheets on Friday.

At the end of the opening day at Magny-Cours, Nicolo Bulega grabbed the top spot on the timesheets as he set a new World Superbike Lap Record around the French circuit.

Sam Lowes was in second place behind the factory Ducati rider on his ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati, but he was 0.400 seconds behind Bulega.

Andrea Locatelli was the fastest Yamaha rider at the end of Day One in France as he ended the day in third place for Pata Yamaha.

Despite topping the timesheets in Free Practice One, Toprak Razgatlioglu slipped back down the order into fourth place in Free Practice Two.

Rounding out the top five was the Barni Spark Racing Team rider, Danilo Petrucci. The Italian has new upgrades from Ducati and was on the pace on Friday.

Just outside of the top five was the Pata Maxus Yamaha rider of Jonathan Rea. After announcing his retirement, Rea is determined to get back on the podium one last time.

Alex Lowes was the top bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team rider once again; the British rider ended the day in seventh place on the KB998 Rimini.

Xavi Vierge was the top Honda, as he ended the day in eighth place for the Japanese manufacturer.

In ninth place was the two-time World Superbike Champion, Alvaro Bautista, who was over a second behind his teammate.

Completing the top ten was the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team rider, Remy Gardner.

Two British riders were outside the top ten, with Ryan Vickers in 18th and Tarran Mackenzie in 19th.
