Angel Piqueras started the Indonesian Grand Prix at the top of the timesheets as he set the pace in Friday afternoon Practice.
At the end of the opening day at the Indonesian Grand Prix, it was Angel Piqueras who topped the timesheets for the FRINSA - MT Helmets -MSi squad as he had a 0.098-second advantage over the rest of the field.
Maximo Quiles was inside the top three on his first visit to the Mandalika International Street Circuit as he ended Friday in second place for the CFMoto Aspar Team.
The Moto3 World Championship leader, Jose Antonio Rueda, ended the opening day of Practice in third place and has the chance to wrap up the Moto3 title this weekend.
Adrian Fernandez found himself as the top Honda rider at the end of track action on Friday as he placed his Leopard Racing machine in fourth place.
Rounding out the top five was the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP rider, David Munoz. The Spaniard started the day at the top of the times in Free Practice One, but dropped to fifth in the afternoon.
The LEVELUP - MTA squad were just outside of the top five with Joel Kelso in sixth place and Matteo Bertelle in seventh place.
David Almansa was the second Honda rider inside the top ten at the end of the opening day; the Leopard Racing rider was in eighth place at the end of Practice.
Moto3 rookie, Alvaro Carpe, has hit a run of poor form in recent rounds, but was in ninth place when the chequered flag fell over Friday afternoon Practice.
Honda Team Asia rider Taiyo Furusato made his way into the top ten at the end of the afternoon session.
