Danny Kent returned to winning ways in Mar-Train Racing's final race in the British Superbike Championship.
Ahead of the 2025 British Superike Showdown, Mar-Train Racing announced that they would depart from the Championship at the end of the season.
Tim and Sonya Martin have been running the McAMS Racing Team across the 2024 and 2025 British Superbike season with the 2015 Moto3 World Champion, Danny Kent, on board their Yamaha R1.
After winning two races at Thruxton earlier in the season, Kent had not featured on the top step of the podium in the 11 races that he competed in after Thruxton. However, in the final race of the season, Kent returned to the top step in the wet conditions.
The 31-year-old took the Mar-Train Racing squad to victory in their final race in the British Superbike Championship before they ended their time in the series.
"What a long race, I did two sighting laps before the race started, and I did not have a good feeling on the rear at all," Kent told British Superbikes after the final race of the season.
"When I came up to the grid, I said to Chris, ‘I don’t feel confident, I have no grip on the rear’. But he worked his magic, and I felt really good from Lap One. Those conditions are really tricky; it is so easy to get out front and overpush it, and then crash.
"But the team gave me a mega bike, this year has been very up and down, we have had some really high highs and some really low lows.
"I am just really pleased to end the season and to end Tim and Sonya Martin’s last race in the British Superbikes with a win. I want to thank them for everything they have done, and also McAMS and everyone in the team."
