Dennis Foggia unexpectedly topped the Moto3 timesheets in Free Practice One at the Portuguese Grand Prix.
After missing the Australian and Malaysian Grands Prix due to suffering from pneumonia, Dennis Foggia was back at the top of the Moto3 timesheets for the CFMoto Aspar Team.
Australian rider, Joel Kelso, is approaching the end of his time on a KTM, but in the first Free Practice session ahead of the penultimate race of the season, he finished in second place.
Joel Esteban is back in action with the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad as he stands in for Jacob Roulstone. The Spaniard ended the opening session of the weekend in third place.
David Almansa was promoted to the podium at the Malaysian Grand Prix. He also started the Portuguese Grand Prix in a strong way as he ended Free Practice One in fourth.
The second Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider inside the top five was the Moto3 rookie, Valentin Perrone, who started the weekend in fifth place.
Moto3 rookie, Maximo Quiles, is fighting for second in the Moto3 World Championship, and his sixth place in Free Practice One placed him above his rival for the runner-up position.
British rider Scott Ogden started his weekend inside the top ten in Free Practice One as he was in seventh place for the CIP Green Power squad.
Moto3 rookie, Ruche Moodley, is looking to end his debut season in the Grand Prix paddock in a strong way, as he ended Free Practice One in eighth place.
After winning the Malaysian Grand Prix last time out, Taiyo Furusato was back in the top ten in the opening session of the weekend at Portimao as he finished in ninth.
Completing the top ten was Adrian Fernandez. After being disqualified from the Malaysian Grand Prix, the Spaniard will be fired up for this weekend.
British rider, Eddie O'Shea, was outside of the top ten as he started his weekend in 19th place. Casey O'Gorman is also back in action this weekend with the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad, and he started the weekend in 21st.
