Marco Bezzecchi ended the 2025 MotoGP Championship on a high note with victory in the Valencia Grand Prix.
The 2025 MotoGP season ended in a perfect way for Marco Bezzecchi, as the Aprilia Racing rider took victory in the final race of the year.
After finishing off the podium in the Sprint Race on Saturday, the Italian had a point to prove on Sunday and went on to control the Grand Prix from the front on his Aprilia RS-GP.
"I am happy, very happy, because after yesterday I wanted the possibility to fight," Bezzecchi told TNT Sports.
"I was super motivated from the start, and I was able to manage the gap quite well at the beginning. Alex [Marquez] was there, but I put my rhythm on and I was able to find that small margin that helped me through the rest of the race.
"Then I was able to manage when Raul [Fernandez] was behind me, which allowed him to catch me a bit, then I could push again. In the last two laps, I was a bit more afraid, because I started to feel very low grip on the rear.
"But fortunately, I had enough to win today. So, I am very, very happy."
After a difficult start to the 2025 season, Bezzecchi ended up with three Grand Prix victories, six further Grand Prix podiums, three Sprint Race victories, and three further Sprint Race podiums.
This was not the year Bezzecchi expected, but he is satisfied with his performance and has already turned his attention to 2026.
"For sure, it has been a super nice year," he explained.
"The first part was tough, we still have to work a lot, and find many more things. Because the potential is good, and the factory and engineers are working super well.
"For me, it has been an unbelievable season. I was not expecting this at all. But when you arrive at a certain point, you always want a little bit more.
"So, I am very happy, I am super satisfied, and I am already thinking about next season."
