Here are the riders that will be participating in the two-day World Superbike Test at Jerez next week.
Next week, the World Superbike paddock will return to the Circuito de Jerez for another two-day pre-season test ahead of the winter testing ban.
The last Winter Test took place in October after the conclusion of the 2025 World Superbike Championship. During the previous test, Nicolo Bulega and Iker Lecuona debuted the new Ducati Panigale V4 R and stole the headlines.
However, there were several riders who were missing from the last Jerez World Superbike Test. The most notable riders that missed the test were Danilo Petrucci and Miguel Oliveira, who are yet to make their BMW debuts, and Jake Dixon and Somkiat Chantra, who are yet to make their Honda debuts.
But on the 26th and 27th of November, those four riders will be on track with their new teams and machines and will begin their 2026 pre-season.
Who is taking part in the November Jerez World Superbike Test?
According to Speedweek.com, it will be a rather busy Test next week at Jerez, but two Superbike manufacturers will be missing from the two-day Test.
The Superbike manufacturers that will be on track are: BMW, bimota, Honda, and Yamaha.
BMW:
BMW will be at the test with their full 2026 World Superbike rider line-up. Italian rider, Danilo Petrucci, will make his debut on the BMW M1000RR after three years on the Ducati Panigale V4 R.
On the other side of the BMW garage will be Miguel Oliveira, who will make his debut on a Superbike alongside his new crew chief, Andrew Pitt.
Michael van der Mark will also continue his new Test Rider role for the German manufacturer after being the sole BMW rider at the last Jerez Test.
bimota:
Ahead of their second season back in World Superbikes, bimota will be back on track for two more days of testing.
The bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team riders, Alex Lowes, and Axel Bassani, will be back on the KB998 Rimini for a second test ahead of the testing ban.
Lowes and Bassani will also be joined the by the bimota Test Rider, Xavi Fores.
Honda:
The Japanese manufacturer will debut their 2026 World Superbike rider line-up at the two-day Jerez World Superbike Test.
British rider Jake Dixon will be back on a Superbike for the first time since he left the British Superbike Championship. After seven seasons in the Grand Prix paddock, Dixon will be on the Honda CBR1000RR-R.
After a year in the MotoGP World Championship, Somkiat Chantra will make his way across to World Superbikes for 2026, and will make his debut at the Jerez Test.
The Japanese manufacturer will bring two Test Riders for the Jerez Test, Tetsuta Nagashima and Ryan Vickers will be on track, but Jonathan Rea is continuing his recovery after a knee operation.
Yamaha:
There will be four Yamaha riders at the two-day Jerez Test from the Pata Maxus and GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Teams.
Andrea Locatelli is heading into his sixth season with the Japanese manufacturer, and will continue his preparations alongside his Yamaha rookie teammate, Xavi Vierge.
The 2025 World Supersport Champion, Stefano Manzi, will continue to adapt to the Yamaha R1 alongside his experience teammate, Remy Gardner.
Kawasaki:
The second manufacturer who will not bring a Superbike to the test is Kawasaki, Garrett Gerloff revealed after the last Jerez Test that his track action for 2025 is over, and he will be back in 2026.
However, the Japanese manufacturer will be at the track with Dominique Aegerter, who will make his Kawasaki debut in the World Supersport Championship.
Ducati:
It has been reported that Ducati will be missing from the two-day test, Nicolo Bulega and Iker Lecuona will not continue their preparations ahead of the 2026 season on the Ducati Panigale V4 R next week.
