John McPhee will move to FIM World Championship level racing in the 2026 season with a new factory ride.
McPhee will race in the Endurance World Championship this year, competing in the four-round series with multiple EWC champions FCC TSR Honda France.
The TSR team ran with Alan Techer, Corentin Perolari, and Taiga Hada in 2025, although Hada rode less regularly than the two French riders who had superior speed. It finished fourth in the 2025 standings, winning in Spa but otherwise failing to make the podium.
It was Spa where McPhee got his first taste of World Endurance, riding the Tati Team Honda and helping the team to a seventh-place finish.
McPhee’s move to EWC comes after his first season of BSB in 2025, riding for the MasterMac Honda team. The Scottish rider ended his first season 17th in the standings with a best result of eighth coming in Race 1 at Assen in September.
There are two calendar clashes between BSB and EWC in 2025: the Suzuka 8 Hours is on the same weekend as the Snetterton BSB round, and the Bol d’Or is on the same weekend as BSB’s trip to Assen. It seems unlikely, therefore, that McPhee could make a split season between BSB and EWC, especially given the added testing involved with the endurance championship.
McPhee’s teammates haven’t been officially confirmed yet, but Techer and Perolari both featured in Honda’s WorldSBK testing roster during the post-season tests in Jerez.
The 2026 EWC season is scheduled to begin with the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans on 18 April.
