Results from the Moto2 race at the French Grand Prix, the fifth round of the 2026 season.

Izan Guevara took victory in a shortened French Grand Prix for the Moto2 riders. The race was initially shortened to make space for 10 minutes of wet weather practice, but the riders all chose slick tyres anyway because the track dried out before the start. A crash early on in the initial start for Jorge Navarro on the ecit of the final corner then brought out the red flags and the restarted race was run over nine laps.

Guevara led those nine laps unchallenged, keeping Manuel Gonzalez at bay throughout. Ivan Ortola completed the podium albeit almost three seconds off the win.

Alonso Lopez and David Alonso completed the top-five, then Celestino Vietti rounded out the top-six after taking a long lap penalty for contact with Barry Baltus on the first lap that resulted in Baltus crashing out.

Senna Agius, Joe Roberts, Filip Salac, and Aron Canet completed the top-10. Dani Holgado finished 11th from second on the grid; he crashed in the first start so had a second chance with the red flag, but he was pushed wide by Alonso on the second lap and shuffled back to outside the top-10, from where he never recovered.

Dani Holgado crossed the line 11th but was disqualified after the race for completing the race without a front mudguard, which is considered a part of the approved aero body and is therefore a necessary component for the bike to be considered legal.
