Lap times from the Sprint at the 2026 MotoGP Hungarian Grand Prix at the Balaton Park circuit.

Marc Marquez took the race win in the MotoGP Sprint at Balaton, leading every lap ahead of Pedro Acosta. His lead was up to over two seconds at times, but dropped back to 1.5 seconds by the end as Marquez backed the pace off.

Acosta was never under threat from behind for second, beating Marco Bezzecchi by 1.2 seconds in the end. Bezzecchi, on the other hand, had to defend early from Fermin Aldeguer, but two mistakes from Aldeguer - first at turn nine and then at turn five - cost him any shot of the podium and he finished fifth behind Raul Fernandez.

Jorge Martin took sixth after taking two attempts to pass Diogo Moreira, who was seventh in the end and again the class of the Honda contingent. Behind, Enea Bastianini and Francesco Bagnaia took the final points, the latter fending off Fabio Di Giannantonio in the closing stages.

Qualifying

Marc Marquez took pole position in Hungary despite crashing on his first lap of Q2. The Spaniard set two 1:36 lap times on his second run, and both would've been enough for pole.

Pedro Acosta seemed nailed on for pole before Marquez's last run. He took second and was the only rider other than Marquez to lap in the 1:36s. Fermin Aldeguer completed the top-three.

Fabio Di Giannantonio and Francesco Bagnaia made it four Ducatis in the top-five, while Marco Bezzecchi was the leading Aprilia in sixth.

Raul Fernandez and Jorge Martin will start seventh and eighth, respectively, ahead of Luca Marini in ninth.

Ai Ogura, Diogo Moreira, and Jack Miller will start from the fourth row.
