Pramac Yamaha has confirmed its 2027 MotoGP line-up, with Izan Guevara stepping up to join Toprak Razgatlioglu.

Guevara currently sits second in the Moto2 standings, 42.5 points behind Manuel Gonzalez after 12 rounds. The Spaniard has scored one victory and four further podiums this season and so far has out-scored second-best Boscoscuro rider Celestino Vietti by 43 points.

The 2022 Moto3 World Champion joined Pramac’s Moto2 team last season after a couple of difficult years in the intermediate class with Aspar, reuniting with Gino Borsoi, who was Aspar team manager when he won that lightweight world title four years ago.

In 2027, he’ll complete one of MotoGP’s more intriguing line-ups with Razgatlioglu, with Pramac currently set to be one of only two teams to field two riders with recent experience of Pirelli tyres, assuming VR46’s second seat is taken by WorldSBK rider Nicolo Bulega.

With Razgatlioglu and Ai Ogura also among its ranks for 2027, Yamaha will be the manufacturer with the most riders with recent Pirelli experience, equal with Ducati (again with the same assumption about VR46 and Bulega) on three.

“He has earned this opportunity through his performances, his commitment and the continuous progress he has shown throughout his Moto2 career.”

“We know MotoGP will be a new challenge for him, especially in a season that will introduce an entirely new technical regulation, but we believe the conditions will allow young riders to adapt quickly and show their potential.

He will enter the season with valuable MotoGP experience already behind him, and we are confident that continuity, together with the work Yamaha is doing on the new project, will allow us to take another significant step forward.
