Oulton BSB: Electronics 'the hard bit' for Tinmouth

Splitlath Aprilia's Jenny Tinmouth didn't get her British Superbike baptism of fire at the Brands Hatch British Superbike opener last weekend due to a blown engine but she intends to be in full effect at Oulton Park, her home round.

The TT's fastest lady has graduated from the British Supersport Cup to become BSB's first female rider and says although the prospect is still awesome, it is the electronics which are caused her the biggest problems.

"Getting used to the electronic side of things is hard because I'm not used to such complex systems. We are running Motec stuff but it's the actual amount of controls we have that is difficult to get my head around," said Timnouth, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.

"WhenI first went out with some of the system on, I didn't know we were running an auto-blip system so it was lurching around with the clutch pulled in! It's great thiough, I'm loving it and the team is ace.

"Brands was disappointing but I'm over that now and it's time to get out and do some good work at my home Oulton Park round."
