BSB | THRUXTON SECOND RACE RED-FLAGGED

Thruxton’s second British Superbike race has been stopped as Tom Sykes and Leon Haslam have come together at Seagrave. Sykes’ bike cartwheeled down the track and hit Karl Harris, who was knocked off but got up. Haslam was not taken off his Honda.
Adam Jenkinson has also crashed at Church Corner, one of the fastest places at the track.
Pit-lane will re-open at 4pm for a second race over 15 laps. Sykes will take the re-start (and is fuming apparently), but Harris is having a medical check up. Sykes’ bike caught him full in the midriff. He walked away from the crash but looked groggy.
Harris has a suspected broken nose and is bashed and bruised, but other than that ok.
