JOHN REYNOLDS: THE VOICE OF EXPERIENCE

Although there has been a break in the season I’ve not managed to stay away from bikes or racing – what can I say other than I’m hooked. I got to spend eight days at the TT which was amazing, the weather was great and the racing was second to none.
I felt privileged to be there as part of Suzuki - especially with the excellent results the Relentless Suzuki riders pulled in. Bruce Anstey and Cameron Donald were setting the pace and their performances were awe inspiring.
I was asked to start the Relentless Supersport Junior race, which was quite an experience and I presented some Trophies on Wednesday night at the Villamarina awards Ceremony – it was really good fun. When I wasn’t starting races and handing out trophies I was riding around the Island on a Suzuki B-King which was my mode of transport for my time at the TT. I headed over to Ramsey on it and took it up the drag strip at the Ramsey Sprint – it had to be done.
Now that the TT is over safely we can turn our attention back to BSB which will be all systems go this weekend at Snetterton. This is one seriously fast track so I’m expecting big things from Tom Sykes on his Rizla Suzuki as I know what he and the blue machine are capable of. The GSX-R1000K8 Suzuki is fast and handles well so I think Tom will be one of the men to beat this weekend.
Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne will also be gathering up points, he has a good lead in the Championship and is still the man to beat. I think you need to watch out for a certain flying Ulsterman Michael Laverty who always goes well at Snetterton as well.
On the 20th-22nd June we have MotoGP at Donington Park to look forward to. Express Insurance, who partners the Rizla Suzuki British Superbike team, has come up with a superb free to enter competition which is offering 20 pairs of passes and VIP hospitality at MotoGP.
To enter simply click here and hit the link at the bottom of the story – but you need to be quick, it finishes on Tuesday night at midnight!
See you all at Snetterton or at Donington Park  MotoGP if you are lucky enough to win some passes courtesy of Express Insurance – I will be in the Express Insurance hospitality chatting with the winners.
