British Superbike nomad and sometime TV presenter James Haydon tested the MSS Kawasaki at Mallory Park earlier this week with a view to replacing the injured Stuart Easton.
The former Virgin Yamaha rider, who rode alongside Scott Smart at Hawk Kawasaki last year, is thought to be desperate for ride in BSB this season and has kept himself fully fit in case one should turn up.
Easton, who had a massive 180mph crash at Snetterton and has broken his right wrist, looks likely to be out of the game until the Oulton Park round in July.
MSS boss Nick Morgan confirmed that Haydon rode the ZX-10R at Mallory, but would not be drawn on whether Haydon was a definite for Easton's seat next weekend.
