Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier reckons his double win at Oulton Park's British Superbike round yesterday was amazing but has warned he and team-mate James Ellison will need more power when it comes to the Donington Park round.
Camier scrapped his way to the win in race one and then strolled the second leg, winning by more than seven seconds from Hydrex Honda's Karl Harris who also scored a double podium with two seconds.
"It was amazing to win both races. I never thought we'd be able to at the second round, given that we haven't done any testing, so it's great for the boys who have worked so hard to get the bike read," said Camier, talking to bikesportnews.com this afternoon.
"Oulton is a fast, flowing circuit so the lack of power wasn't do much of a problem and we concentrated on getting the bike to turn. And it is so sweet-handling too. But we will need some more power when it comes to Donington.
"You could see we were losing a little on the straights at Oulton but out of the really slow corners at Donington we will need some extra grunt so we don't lose out too much. I think we might test if we get the parts but that's Colin's call."
