Appleyard Macadam British Supersport star Jack Kennedy is hoping to be back on track before the three-month period set out by doctors and will have another X-ray next week to gauge his recovery progress.
The young Irishman crashed heavily at the Thruxton round, injuring his back and medics have stated he has to wear a brace for three months. However, Kennedy his hoping to get back in the saddle before then and take his maiden BSS win.
"Obviously I'm gutted to have to sit out but these things happen and that's just racing. I want to get back as quickly as possible to retain and hopefully improve on my current third place in the championship but I'm realistic and have to look not just at this season but the future as a whole because I'm planning on being here for the long haul. Once I'm back to normal, as in able to ride a bike again, then I'll be back on the pace and chasing that win," said Kennedy.
