Wiltshire British Superbike rider Tommy Bridewell has split with the Tyco Honda team after a series of poor results and a struggle with machine setup has seen him become increasingly frustrated.
The Devizes swearbox managed a podium at the opening BSB round but has since been unable to replicate the form and a couple of crashes have not helped the team budget. The split is said to be an amicable one and he is now looking for other options. The squad will continue with Peter Hickman and Patric Muff this weekend.
"I'm disappointed it hasn't worked out after a great start to the season but we've really struggled since. I've had some issues with the handling of the bike which the team has done their best to help with but we realised that it was perhaps better to call it a day. I'd like to thank the team for the opportunity and wish them continued success in the future," he said.
