Snetterton BSB: Seeley does the double at new Norfolk circuit

Relentless Suzuki's Alastair Seeley took his second win of the weekend by over 8.5 seconds in the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship this week at the new Snetterton 300 circuit despite the early pressure from Gearlink Kawasaki's Ben Wilson.

Seeley flew out of pole position to take the lead, closely followed by Wilson who immediately attacked at the second corner temporarily taking the lead until Seeley regained it back.  Immediately they both started to pull away from the others. Luke Mossey of Smiths Racing, who got his first podium yesterday, also had a great start to be sitting in third by the second corner.

As they started the second lap Wilson and Seeley were side by side, touching and not giving an inch to each other. Wilson was looking to prove the changes they have made to the bike was going to give Seeley, yesterday's race winner, a much harder time today. Meanwhile Mossey pulled away from the next bunch of riders which was being led by Oxford Tag Triumph's Paul Young, his teammate Billy McConnell, Sam Warren of Seton Yamaha's, Daniel Cooper of Smiths Racing and MAP Triumph's Allann-Jon Ventor.

This group in places fourth to eighth, had a race of their own as they went through a phase of swapping places, not missing a chance to benefit from any rider errors. On lap four Seeley started to pull away from Wilson and he kept increasing the gap until the chequered flag.

Warren now in fourth was slightly getting away from the trailing pack taking McConnell with him as the other riders held themselves up slightly battling with each other which allowed Bladen Electrical's Dean Hipwell to join them before he unfortunately had to pull out of the race on lap 10.

For several laps it was quite sedate until lap 12 McConnell spun out of his fifth position but he was able to rejoin in 13th which he kept picking up what could be some valuable points towards the championship.  Fourth was grabbed by Warren followed by Cooper, Ventor, Whitman, Johnston, Young and Jesse Trayler of Gearlink's Kawasaki rounded off the top ten.

John Simpson of T3 Racing took the cup win in 14th, followed by Matthew Hoyle of Mackrory Racing for second, both of which finished in the points. David Paton of Double 'M' Racing got ahead Shaun Winfield of Oxford Tag Triumph to take third.
