Kyle Ryde takes the BSB points lead into the fifth round of the 2026 season at Brands Hatch this weekend (17–19 July), but heads there off his trickiest round so far.
At Snetterton, Ryde was out of contention for victory in Race 1 for only the second time in 2026 after Race 3 at Knockhill.
By the end of the weekend, though, he’d turned his fortunes around to take a dominant eighth win of the season in Race 3.
By winning at Snetterton, Ryde ticked off the last remaining UK circuit on the BSB calendar that he was yet to win at. Now he heads to Brands Hatch, a circuit where he’s won twice in the past, with a 17-point championship lead.
“We are heading to Brands Hatch with a great podium record of being on the podium in all 12 races so far, so a big credit to the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing team for keeping it together and everything working well,” Ryde told BritishSuperbike.com.
“I am looking forward to Brands Hatch; I rode there a couple of weeks ago on my 250 and the RC30 and had a lot of fun, so I am very much looking forward to it.
“I can’t wait to really see what the V4 R is going to be like around the Grand Prix circuit, but it has felt good at the track so far, it started difficult at Snetterton but came good in the end.
“We go there still with the championship lead and obviously the main contenders are one hundred percent be Scott [Redding] and Brad [Ray], so it should be some great racing. I am looking forward to getting started.”
