Repli-Cast Racing’s Nathan Westwood bagged a top-ten result in the Sunoco British 125GP race at Snetterton’s British Superbike round at the weekend in only his second ride in the series.
After experiencing serious engine problems in qualifying which necessitated a full overnight re-build, Westwood showed his mettle to come from mid-grid to finish seventh overall and sixth in the cup championship, battling with Callum Bey, Andrew Reid and Nigel Percy.
"I would like to thank the whole team for the effort and hard work shown when others were doubting us. These people actually helped us as they made the true staff in the team stronger and more determined to show them all how wrong they were,” said team boss Gary Dawson.
“There is never sentiment in racing and at times things go wrong and it's tough, but due to team spirit and seeing it all before, you pick yourself up and get on with it, that's just what we have done and i'm proud of them all.. Thank you to all the sponsors and fans that came to support us and the BSB for such a cracking track and weekend too."
