Motorpoint Yamaha's Loris Baz has been forced to pull out of this weekend's Brands Hatch British Superbike triple header with money worries and it looks like his season BSB is over.
Baz had previously struggled to find funds for the Snetterton round but managed to take to the grid both there and at Oulton Park but the money has now run out and he has been forced to call it quits. Team-mate James Westmoreland will continue with the team.
"It is a great shame for Loris, his backers have run into difficulty at a crucial time of his career, we as a team like many others have to work hard to raise racing budgets, catering for riders with sponsors is par for the course and the make up of most teams. In this current climate there are always going to be casualties and unfortunately Loris has been one of them, we hope to see Loris in the future," said team boss Rob McElnea.
