Relentless Suzuki's Josh Brookes put in half a day's testing at a Cadwell Park track session today before rained stopped play but managed to get a good feeling with a change in setup direction on the GSX-R1000.
The Bringelly man was mixed in with the fast group for most of the morning but managed to get in eight clear laps at lunchtime with a new setting about which he is keeping tight-lipped apart from saying it's to do with shock and wheel rates.
"It was a bit difficult to get good laps in when everyone else was on track but I got some clear spaces and as soon as it was cleared at lunchtime, I stuck in eight laps with the new settings which felt really good," said Brookes, speaking to bikesportnews.com this afternoon.
"Of course, it's hard to know how fast the laps were as we weren't allowed any timing quipment or laptimer, but my arse timer said they were pretty good. I was happy with the settings and maybe we might just get out somewhere else before coming back here next weekend."
