Qualifying three
Michael Laverty 1'26.571
Tommy Hill 1'26.642
Peter Hickman 1'27.104
Swan Yamaha's Michael Laverty has taken his first MCE British Superbike pole position of the year this afternoon at Cadwell Park and will line-up alongside team-mate Tommy Hill in tomorrow's double header. The pair broke Leon Haslam's four-year old lap record while Tyco Honda's Peter Hickman raised a few eyebrows at his home track by completing the front row.
A late lunge by Relentless Suzuki's Josh Brookes wasn't quite quick enough and the 2010 series runner-up starts at the head of row two in fourth place and he has Michael Rutter's Rapid Ducati and Shane Byrne on the HM Plant Honda for company.
Jon Kirkham, Evo class leader Graeme Gowland and Martin Jessop comprise row three while Alex Lowes is at the head of row four.
Qualifying two
Michael Laverty 1'26.896
Tommy Hill 1'26.950
Shane Byrne 1'27.447
As with the first session, Lavery headed the table with team-mate Hill trailing him and they were the only two riders inside the 1'27 bracket. A struggling Ryuichi Kiyonari looked to have done enough to make it through but a mistake on the last but one corner saw him only manage 16th place and he was eliminated.
Local rider Hickman seized the early initiative from Brookes and only slipped down to fifth place, remaining ahead of Kirkham's Samsung Suzuki and Graeme Gowland, the only rider to make it into the final session.

Qualifying one

Josh Brookes 1'27.770
Laverty was the only rider to duck under the 1'27 barrier and is now homing in on Leon Haslam's 2007 lap record, set on the Airwaves Ducati on special Dunlops. Team-mate Hill had lead for a lot of the session until the Ulsterman banged in what is, at this point, the fastest lap of the weekend.
At the other end, Smart was hovering on the edge of the drop zone but his penultimate lap saw him vault into 13th place and the next one was two places better. He is only a tenth behind the leading Evo rider Graeme Gowland. Steve Brogan just squeaked into the second session as did Barry Burrell.
