Gearlink Kawasaki Ben Wilson dominated the second Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport race this afternoon at Cadwell Park; despite Relentless Suzuki's Alastair Seeley closely in tow, Wilson was really unchallenged
throughout the race.
Seeley took lead, Wilson temporarily went down to fourth but then was back upto second by the second corner, Seton Yamaha's Sam Warren was close behind in third. Christian Iddon of Oxford Tag Triumph was in fourth followed by his teammate Billy Mcconnell. As they started lap two Seeley tried to defend his lead but Wilson went around the outside to take to the front.
Over the next few laps the leading, as usual, pulled away slightly from the rest of the gap. Rounding off the top ten was MAP Triumph's Jimmy Hill, Lins Lifting's Gary Johnson, Appleyard/Macadam's Jack Kennedy, Bournemouth Kawasaki's Luke Stapleford and Pauli Pekkanen 777RR Motorsport.
All was quite settled for several laps, the battle was going on further down the grid, Oxford Tag Trimph's Paul Young and Josh Day of Smith's Racing and even further down the grid PCR Trimph's Curran and Hornsey Steel's Sam Hornsey.
As the race got into the later stages Pekkanen disappeared from the results promoting MAP Triump's Allan-Jon Venter into the top ten. With a few position changes as well as Warren crashing out of the race and Stapleford fell down the order to 11th so the top ten led by Wilson and Seeley were followed by McConnell, Iddon, Johnson, Hill, Kennedy, Venter, Marty Nutt of Nutt travel.com and Young before finishing the 14 lap race.
Championship points:
Wilson 358
Seeley 305
McConnell 180
Young 152
Warren 151
