Former Relentless Suzuki rider Ian Lowry will make a return to his 2009 team at this weekend's Sunflower races at Bishopscourt partnering newly-crowned British Supersport Champion Alastair Seeley.
Lowry, who was drafted into the MSS Colchester Kawasaki team at the end of this year's BSB season, finished top rookie with Phillip Neil's team two years ago with a final placing of fifth and says he can't wait to get back on the bike - sparking speculation of a full-time return for 2012.
"I've been itching to get back on the Suzuki for ages as we had a good year back in 2009. Phillip asked me if I'd like to ride it this weekend and I jumped at the chance. I won it two years ago and came second to Michael Laverty in 2010 so we've got a pretty good chance," said Lowry, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.
"What it will lead to is anyone's guess. I am looking for a solid ride in British Superbikes next year and returning to Phillip's team would be fantastic. I'm not ruling anything out, though, and I've also been in touch with a couple of other team managers already about 2012."
