West Midlands teenager Bradley Hughes will compete in the British 125GP Champion full time in 2012 after entering selected rounds of the Cup last year and hopes to be a regular top-ten contender.
The Halesowen man (15) has four years of racing under his belt and having won the Club GP125 class with the NGRRC, the student feels the time is right for him to progress to contest the British Championship full time this year.
He dipped his toe into the British championship in 2010 scoring points in most of the rounds contested in the ACU Academy Cup. He also scored championship points in the main championship by completing the races at Oulton Park and Silverstone in 13th and 12th place.
"This year it is my aim to run within the top ten in the British Championship and to be challenging for podiums. It is a very competitive series but with a couple of years' experience behind me I feel I can achieve my objective. I would like to thank Penn White for their support (www.pennwhite.co.uk) and welcome them on board as new sponsors and hope I can reward them with some top results," he said.
