Ryde's 2012 British 125cc title defence in jeopardy

Reigning British 125GP Champion Kyle Ryde may not be able to defend his title in 2012 after his title sponsor pulled out at the last minute, leaving the youngster unable to commit to a full season on the Honda Moto3 he was to ride.

Ryde is now facing a year without being able to try and keep the number one plate in Britain. His bike was being built by Mark Woodage of MJW Specialists and it thought to have been the only one in the championship.

"We are absolutely devastated with the news as everything was coming together nicely and we were really looking forward to the season ahead. As it stands at the moment Kyle won't be riding at all in BSB which will be a massive loss to the series as he is the reigning champion," said father Sean.
