Returning Metzeler National Superstock team MWR Kawasaki have confirmed they will have a seat open in the litre bike category and are looking for a rider to partner their 600cc rider Tom Hastings.

Team boss Mark Webster had taken the decision to have a year out to concentrate on work commitments in 2012 but after some movements, he is now able to not sit in the garden at weekends in the summer.

"At one point is was looking like I’d be sat on my lawnmower all summer, now after confirming Tim Hastings will ride for us in the Stock 600s just a couple of weeks ago I am very keen to run one, possibly two more riders this season and would like at least one of these to be in the litre category," said Webster

"With a host of major Superbike teams fielding riders in this class for 2012, its gives us the opportunity to compete with them on equal machinery and if we can find the right rider I feel we can give the big boys a run for their money.

"It also gives us a platform to bring young riders through the Stock 600 class and for them to progress onto bigger machinery whilst still having the same team around them, a sort of academy if you like. We are able to put various packages together to suit individual requirements and to try and give the riders the most cost effective way to go racing in a professional team environment."
