Haga 'not afraid to make big setup changes'

Swan Yamaha's Noriyuki Haga has been doing some radical thinking in terms of setup on his YZF-R1 at Cartagena in order to see exactly what his 2012 British Superbike contender is capable of doing and not doing.

While the Japanese former WSBK rider has been focusing on getting the fuelling and maps right over the last two days at Cartagena, team boss Shaun Muir has seen the Samuari of Slide is not content with 'one turn here, one click there' changes to his setup.

"He has done some radical things and is not afraid to make some big setup changes to see what his bike will and won't do. He didn't just make clicks here and there, he was very thorough in eliminating what definitely wouldn't work. It was great to see and very helpful for his crew," said Muir, speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening.
