Swan Yamaha's Tommy Hill still has work to do to find some pace from his R1 after finding himself a second slower than British Superbike title rival Michael Laverty after today's test at Snetterton.
The reigning champion posted a best time of 1'49.5 compared to Laverty's 1'48.5 but crew chief Pete Jennings says it has been a positive day of testing at the Norfolk circuit.
"We got through a lot of things today and it is difficult to see who is fast and who isn't around here. There is still work to do with the Motec ECU but we're getting through it all and today has been positive in terms of what we have achieved," said Jennings, speaking to bikesportnews.com at the track.
