Snetterton BSB: No replacement for Hickman so Rutter flies solo

Bathams Kawasaki will not replace the recently-departed Peter Hickman for this weekend's Snetterton British Superbike round so Michael Rutter will fly solo but on a high after his North West 200 success.

Team boss Nick Morgan says he isn't rushing to find a replacement for Hickman, who departed after racing for Suzuki as at wildcard at the Donington WSBK round, but is believed to be in talks with Aussie Mark Aitchison. We’re only running Michael in Superbikes this weekend because we don’t want to rush the decision on who takes the ride," said Morgan.

Rutter said: "After a fantastic time at the North West 200 last weekend, we were able to gain some useful information about the Bathams Kawasaki Superbike which we hope we can use here. I’ll have no rest after Sunday’s races as I’ll be heading off to the Isle of Man TT - as practice begins on Monday! Despite competing in the road races, BSB is so important to me and I’m hoping I’ll be able to transfer the success of the North West to the fast Snetterton circuit.”
