Knockhill BSB: Hickman steps in for injured Linfoot

Former MSS Kawasaki British Superbike man Peter Hickman will ride for the Buildbase BMW squad at Knockhill this weekend, standing in for Dan Linfoot who fractured his left thumb and fingers in a crash earlier today.

The Yorkshireman slipped off in free practice three at  the fast Butchers right-hander. He could also be in doubt for the Oulton Park round in two weeks' time. Linfoot has suffered fractured third metatcarpal, spiral fracture to fifth metacarpall and fractured on the base of his thumb.

"A strange crash and I don't really know why. I'm not sure if the bike landed on me or whether it was when I hit the ground," said Linfoot, in a text to bikesportnews.com.
