Northern youngster Tom Grant will make his return to the MCE British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park this weekend after a successful test at the Lincolnshire circuit yesterday.

Grant, who has raced in both BSB and British Supersport, hasn't been in competition since 2010 but is relishing a return to the track.

“I would like to thank Quattro Plant Kawasaki and my sponsors for this opportunity. It has been four years since riding a superbike, so it is a real opportunity to push for my place on the grid," said Grant.

"My last competitive ride was Brands Hatch in 2010 on a supersport machine, so since then, I have continued to train hard and keep my riding sharp by riding my motorcross bike between work commitments.

“The test was all about easing me back on to a bike. The bike feels good and handles well. I am really excited about this weekend and I can’t wait to be out there.”
