East in hunt for ride after Mackrory split

Motorpoint British Supersport Cup front-runner James East is on the hunt for a ride to finish his 2012 season after splitting with the Mackrory squad.

East has made strong progress throughout the year and is currently third in the championship and only half a point beind Luke Jones in secnd position. He has put himself on the Cup Podium in every race finished this year, racking up 13 rostrum spots with a best finish of first in Cup and ninth in the overall Supersport standings at Brands Hatch GP.

"I would really like to keep my momentum going in the supersport championship, I've worked hard and I feel I am capable to be battling within the top ten. However if this is not possible in Supersport, I'd be interested in riding a 1000 for the remaining races to gain some experience to take to 2013," said East.
