Tyco Suzuki's American star PJ Jacobsen will step up to the Motorpoit British Supersport series at next weekend's Assen round.
The New Yorker, who grabbed his debut Metzeler National Supersock 1000 win by 0.001s at Donington Park, makes the jump up in class even though his team hadn't planned to race in the series this year but his results have prompted boss Philip Neill to have a change of heart.
“I’m really pumped to be getting to ride the Tyco Suzuki GSX-R600. It’s a proven championship winning bike, and having compared some lap times from last year I know the bike is up to the job; the rest is just down to me next weekend at Assen. Last week was great for everyone, but Assen will be a whole new experience. I’m with a great team and a great bunch of guys, who I’m having a lot of fun with, so I just can’t wait to get on the gas," said Jacobsen.
