Former Dutch Supersport Champion Raymond Schouten has joined the Seton Yamaha Motorpoint British Supersport squad ahead of this weekend's Assen round after the team split with Sam Warren at Donington Park.

Warren was seen trudging out of the gate at the Leicestershire track halfway through the weekend not looking all that amicable, and he has now been replaced in a crafty move by team boss Phil Seton by the Dutch star who will carry a huge advantage at his home track.

"I really wanted to go back to the 600 bike, which is the best for my riding style. I have been racing a Superbike this year but missed the first five races because I had a bad leg injury sustained just before Christmas," said Schouten, who has been contesting the domestic Superbike series as well as World Endurance.

"Now I’m getting on speed again and I have this chance. I know this is a very hard championship but I have been watching the races for the last three years and my dream is to ride there and battle with these good riders. Now Phil has given me this chance, it won’t be easy but I know Phil has a good bike, and I know Assen very well. I hope we have a good weekend and will look to come back for a strong round at Brands Hatch for the last race, and also my goal is to ride for the team in 2013.”
