Talented Irishman John Laverty will return to the MCE British Superbike grid this weekend as he joins Chris Walker in the Primo Bournemouth Kawasaki sqiuad at Silverstone.

The Toomebridge rider split acrimoniously from the Splitlath Redmond team two days before Donington Park and has been looking for a way back ever since. He is now back to full fitness after the horror crash at Oulton that very nearly took his life and is raring to go.

"I am happy to be back in the championship this weekend and it will be good to finish off the season with the team as they have a lot of knowledge and experience of racing Superbikes," said Laverty.

"At the start of this season I wasn't obviously at full fitness as I was still recovering from my crash but now I am feeling much stronger. I have raced a Kawasaki before so hopefully it will feel more familiar to me when we roll out on Friday."
