AMA Rookie of the Year and Daytona Sport Bike race winner Tommy Aquino will join Jon Railton in the WD-40-backed GR Motorsport to contest the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 series for 2013.
The American, who has slowly been building a name for himself Stateside, will race a Kawasaki ZX-10R with Cambridgeshire's Railton alongside. Young gun Joe Francis will race in Moto3 for the team.
"We were looking for another great young rider to join Jon and Joe in Team WD40 we were introduced to Tommy via Geoff Crust and Wayne Rainey," said team-boss Brent Gladwin.
"Tommy'?s history speaks for its self and the American affinity to WD-40 made perfect sense. His arrival from the warmth of California to a very cold UK must have been a shock to the system for him. We can'?t wait to see Tommy on a bike as soon as possible and are really looking forward to a great season?."
