Bathams Honda's Michael Rutter is hoping to to be fit to race in the opening round of MCE BSB at Brands Hatch this weekend.

The veteran rider is still healing from the tumble while testing for the Honda TT Legends World Endurance team where he cracked a bone in his leg

But it was not only the leg that was troubling him tlast night - he had broken down en-route to the circuit with some 28 miles still to go.

Rutter was waiting to have that fixed and then switch to racing, commenting: "I hope to give it a go, get sat on the bike and see how I feel."
