Dan Linfoot has been told by doctor's this morning he will not have to undergo surgery to repair four fractures in his pelvis after being run over in a crash at Brands Hatch yesterday.
The Yorkshire rider was flown to hospital in London following the first race incident and immediately underwent a battery of tests which showed he has four small fractures but could be on his way home by the end of the week.
"It could have been a lot worse than it is but it could also have been avoided. I came out of Druids and my hand was knocked off the bar by Keith Farmer. I fell off the side of the bike and James Westmoreland had nowhere to go but over me," said Linfoot, speaking to bikesportnews.com.
"It was not the way I wanted to start a new season but I'm still here and still talking. The chances of me being back for Oulton are pretty slim so I think I am looking at Knockhill for a return."
