Linfoot expects to leave hospital next week

Crocked MCE British Superbike star Dan Linfoot has been transferred to a hospital near his Yorkshire home and hopes to be released back into the community next week.

The Lloyds British GBmoto Honda rider suffered four pelvis factures in a first-race crash at Brands Hatch last weekend but says he was lucky with regard to their positioning and is looking forward to going home.

"After a positive weekend gelling with my new team and bike at Brands Hatch and to be within half a lap of crossing the line in sixth place, it was disappointing to now be laid up and out of action," said Linfoot, who has already been up and about on crutches.

"Multiple pelvic fractures sounds serious but in terms of recovery I am lucky with their positioning. I hope to be out of hospital within the next week and working as hard as possible for a speedy return. I would like to extend my thanks to the marshals, medics and MSVR team, as well as the fans, for their support and well wishes."
