Samsung Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari has pointed the finger at himself following another disappointing MCE British Superbike weekend at Thruxton.
The three-time champion, who lost his most-wins record to Shane Byrne at the Hampshire track, is struggling with an engine spec he isn't used to - not full Superbike - and is also having problems with the chassis setup. The Japanese finished 17th in race one and crashed out of the second.
“Very disappointed – this has been a very difficult weekend. We didn’t have much practice and like at Brands Hatch I had problems which we tried to improve," said Kiyo.
"First race, my problem, everything me, not the bike but then in second race I crash. I highsided, tried to catch it, but went down. Now have to improve in the next round at Oulton Park – that is not an easy track but we will try very hard.”
