Tyco Suzuki’s PJ Jacobsen will start the first MCE British Superbike race at Knockhill tomorrow from the second row, after clocking the sixth fastest time in the final qualifying session this afternoon, leaving the rider pleased with his performance.
This is the New Yorker’s first time riding in BSB at Knockhill and impressed his team by making in into the final qualifying session. Jacobsen’s team-mate Josh Brookes starts the race on Sunday from the front row, but the youngster is just happy to finally get a decent qualifying lap under his belt, which he hopes will put him in good stead for the main races tomorrow.
“It’s really good to get a decent qualifying in, my best so far in British Superbike. I’m just learning the track more and more so the more laps I get the better at this stage,” said Jacobsen
“It was also really good to get behind Josh and see what he was doing different than me, so yeah it sets me up well for the opening race tomorrow.”
