Gearlink Kawasaki’s Ben Wilson is relieved that he has found his good form again, after he came away with two Motorpoint British Supersport wins at Knockhill over the weekend.
It is the team’s first double victory this season, with Wilson dominating both races from the start. He won race one on the Saturday by 2.8 seconds from team-mate Alastair Seeley and in the longer main race on Sunday he won by another big margin beating local man Mar-Train Racing’s Stuart Easton by 1.4 seconds, clinching the riders first double win since Cadwell Park back in 2011.
The double win could not have come at a better time for Wilson, after having a tough season last year, and the rider is grateful that the hard work has paid off.
"I'm so pleased with the results I have had here this weekend, it's been a long rocky road the last year but now after this I finally feel like I'm back. It's such a relief and the Gearlink Kawasaki team have worked so hard to get me to this point and I'd really like to thank them for everything and I hope this repays all their hard work,” said Wilson.
“They were two really great races and I really wanted to try and get away as knew everyone would be scrapping and I didn't want to get involved in any of that. The bike has been brilliant all weekend and hope this form will continue now for the rest of the season, there are still a lot of points to gain.”
