Successful return to British Superbike action for Linfoot

Lloyds British GBmoto Honda's Dan Linfoot made a successful return to the MCE British Superbike Championship at Knockhill following his lengthy lay-off with a cracked pelvis.

The Yorkshire fondue stabber was involved in a collision with Keith Farmer at the end of race one at the season opener in April and has been laid up ever since, only testing a couple of times before his comeback at the weekend which saw eighth and 12 places.

"It was good to get two finishes and some points on the board after being out injured for all that time. I was really happy with the way I rode in the first race but in the second I hit a bit of a brick wall and was really tired after about 15 laps," said the aerial specialist.

"I haven’t ridden in anger since the first race of the first round so maybe I could have expected it. I had tested before but not done anything in competition. Knockhill has set us up nicely for the rest of the season and I am confident we can challenge for a Showdown spot."
