Walker 'well happy' with season-best results

MCE British Superbike veteran Chris Walker enjoyed his best results of the season at Knockhill to consolidate his position within the top six and the Nottinghamshire rider was quick to heap the praise on his team.

The housewives' favourite bagged a brace of fifth places at the Scottish track and said his bike had been feeling good all season.

“I am well happy with those results,” said the Quattro Plant Kawasaki rider. “To be honest from race one this season the bike has been good. It was changed a bit over the winter, and there is a bit of help from Kawasaki which is always good.

“And there is Ray Stringer who never sits still, and keeps working on the bikes so I have been able to make the most of it,” added Walker who had contrasting form at the Scottish circuit last year when a crash left him with broken heels.

“This weekend we started gradually, built up and come the races, the bike was perfect, brilliant, everything was good and now we are looking for more and the same, and better. We have a fast engine, and a bike that is easy to ride.”
