Riders BMW man Martin Jessopp will ride in Friday's opening MCE British Superbike free practice session at Snetterton only two weeks after breaking his arse at Knockhill.
The Yeovil rider was spat over the highside of his S1000RR in Scotland and damaged his coccyx, a most uncomfortable injury. He intends to try and ride, and will see how it goes.
"The recovery from this injury is always going to be a slow one as it should take a few weeks to heal and go completely back to normal. It is just one of those frustrating things as you can't make it mend any faster but at the same time we had been improving after Oulton Park and into Knockhill so it kind of stopped that momentum," said Jessopp.
"I took a road bike for a wobble out today and it obviously isn't the same as riding the race bike but it still gives an idea of whether it is doable. You get the adrenaline kicking in during an event and so we will see how it goes in free practice and go from there. We had been making good progress so hopefully we can try and get back on the case this weekend."
