Gearlink Kawasaki's Alastair Seeley cruised to a lights to flag Motorpoint British Supersport victory, clinching the championship lead from Stuart Easton in the process.

The Northern Irishmen was firm favourite to take the victory after a dominant qualifying performance and he didn't disappoint. The wee wizard took the holeshot and fought off early pressure from team-mate Ben Wilson to take the victory by 5.339 seconds and an eighteen point championship lead.

Gearlink Kawasaki's Ben Wilson held second up until the penultimate lap before the searing heat lead to tyre deterioration. Profile Triumph's Luke Mossey seized upon a struggling Wilson to move through into second with just two laps remaining, securing his third consecutive podium at the Norfolk circuit. Local lad, Mossey, matched his best finish in a supersport race in only his second race back after a hand injury at the start of the year.

Smiths Triumph's Billy McConnell bettered Jason O'Halloran and Graeme Gowland in the battle of the race with the trio swapping places all race long, before the Adelaide man secured fourth with a move on the last lap at the end of the Bentley Straight, slipping past Samsung Honda's O'Halloran on the brakes.

Mar-Train Yamaha's Glenn Irwin came home in eighth after beating Richard Cooper to the line. CF Motorsport's Jake Dixon finished in ninth but was also the first of the cup competitors home, furthering his cup championship lead.

Former championship leader Stuart Easton endured a difficult race, only managing to scrape inside of the top ten. The Hawick rider is now eighteen points adrift with Seeley on pole for tomorrow's feature race and Easton languishing on the third row.
